HOW TO SURVIVE A PANDEMIC
FIRST SECTION
The guide contains the description of the original projects designed by the young people participating in the local labs in Spain, Italy, Croatia and Turkey. These projects were designed during module 3 of the LABs’ training itineraries (beginning of 2020) and are accompanied by explanatory videos where each of the participants’ groups explains their initiative.
Besides that, this section contains visual representations on which Sustainable Development Goals the international participants choose to focus on, as well as the results of the projects that were successfully implemented.
SECOND SECTION
In this section, the guide contains information about the projects or initiatives redesigned or adapted to the circumstances of the Covid-19 pandemic.
It also contains a road map showing how the Covid-19 has influenced and changed the course of each project.
Finally, results and stories of the adapted project effectively implemented are also included in this section.
THIRD SECTION
Finally, a section 3 has been created containing a step-by-step guide to inspire other young people to carry out their own social impact initiatives. This section was developed collaboratively from the experiences of the participants during the pandemic and the process they took to reach this point of implementing their project.
In this section you will also find the 3 IYE-LABs toolkits, downloadables and printables: Toolkit for Youth, Toolkit for Dynamizers and Toolkit for Decision-making processes.
Also included in this section are some innovative and inspiring ideas to be implemented to address social or environmental challenges generated by the outbreak of the pandemic.
Additionally, the guide contains introductory and explanatory information about the content, structure and purpose of this document.
How to survive a pandemic
The guide aims at co-creating solutions & innovations from participants’ insights to tackle the new scenario due to the coronavirus crisis & help to achieve SDGs and targets instead of or because of it.
Elaboration process
We have conceived this guide as an e-volunteering activity during which our participants put in practice the knowledge and lessons learned gained during the training itinerary phase.
Why did we do this guide?
With this initiative, we wanted not only to give continuity to the activities of IYE-LABs but also to provide moral support to young people isolated in their homes.
