SPAIN | PILOT PROJECTS IN times of covid-19
HOW TO SURVIVE A PANDEMIC
Participants from Spain managed to adapt 2 of their projects to the new local context, focusing mainly on the SDG 2, 4 and 11.

Angie, Susana and Olmo came up with the idea of adapting their project, initially designed as “Entre Iguales”, into an online version called “Educate”. The aim of their project is to contribute towards reaching the Sustainable Development Goal 4, focusing on educational support systems for young people in times of covid.
The project has been replaced by a one-off activity, the making of a video with tips for other young people to study safely and securely from home during the Covid-19 restrictions and social distancing measures
The project was implemented in June 2020, in Cordoba (Spain), targeting young people from 18-30 years that have to study on their own from home during the pandemic.
The resources needed to implement the project were mainly connected to mentoring support from Fundacion Xul and the graphic design program Canva.
The identified stakeholders that Angie, Susana and Olmo agreed that might be interested in participating and supporting the project are the local universities, teachers and young people in general.
In order to tackle the issue of learning difficulties in times in times of covid, the participants decided to make a video with ideas and tips on how to study from home.
Through the activities implemented, the results of their pilot project would be an educational support system for young people during the pandemic through engaging visual materials.
Target 4.7. By 2030, ensure that all learners acquire the knowledge and skills needed to promote sustainable development, including, among others, through education for sustainable development and sustainable lifestyles, human rights, gender equality, promotion of a culture of peace and non-violence, global citizenship and appreciation of cultural diversity and of culture’s contribution to sustainable development.

Status: IMPLEMENTED (read about the previous project)

Carlos, Alba and Mirko came up with the idea of adapting their project, initially designed as “Sumamos con”, into a visual online version called “Alimentando Cordoba”.
The aim of their project is to contribute towards reaching the Sustainable Development Goal 2 and 11, focusing on promoting local organic producers and raising awareness regarding the food emergency in times of covid.
The project was implemented in June 2020, in Cordoba (Spain), targeting 50 families in a food emergency, local organic producers and the local community in Cordoba.
The resources needed to implement the project were mainly connected to support from Fundacion Xul and 300 euro.
The identified stakeholders that Carlos, Alba and Mirko agreed that might be interested in participating and supporting the project are the Albolafia School, Families in the Guadalquivir Neighborhood, local producers and small organic local shops.
In order to raise awareness regarding the food insecurity and local support system in times of covid, the participants did a collective co-creation of the script, production, recording and video editing of a visual material, as well as a series of interviews with the people involved in the video.
Through the activities implemented, the results of their pilot project would be a social media campaign to promote local producers and an increased awareness regarding the food emergency.
